About Your Tutor

Chris is an experienced Reiki Master Teacher, and has been working with Reiki since 1995. He is a passionate teacher and enjoys helping students to find and develop along their path in life. He has a MSc in Development, Education and Training and a Certificate in Teaching for Adults; and taught and supported students in Further Education for nearly ten years. This background helps to underpin the training and support he provides to his students.

Reiki 1 Degree

Reiki 1 is a general introduction to Reiki healing. You will receive your first set of attunements (four in total) to the Reiki energy, which allows you to give Reiki treatments to yourself, pets, friends and family.

During the course you will learn about:

What Reiki is and its origins
The benefits and uses of Reiki
Introduction to the energy system, chakras and aura
Basic physiology and connection to the chakras
Reiki hand positions for self-healing and the healing of others
Using Reiki on plants and animals
Practise giving a Reiki session
Brain and chakra balancing techniques
Self-clearing and energising techniques
General practices to improve well-being e.g. meditation, grounding

To complete the process of attunement to the Reiki energy, students are required to do a short self-treatment each day for 21 days following the course.

The course takes place over two consecutive days or three evenings. No prior qualifications or experience is needed, but it is often helpful to experience a Reiki treatment yourself before starting the training.

Cost - £165 (£195 one-to one)

Included in the course fee is a comprehensive manual and Reiki 1 certificate.

Reiki 2 Degree

Reiki 2 is for students wishing to enhance their connection to the Reiki energy and for those who wish to become a Reiki practitioner. During the Reiki 2 course you will receive a further set of Reiki attunements and are introduced to the Reiki symbols, which enhance and focus the flow of Reiki energy. After completion of this course and the required case studies you will be qualified to work as a Reiki practitioner if you so wish. Students are required to wait for at least 3 months after completing Reiki 1 before attending Reiki 2.

The Reiki 2 course will cover:

Review of Reiki 1 course
Reiki 2 attunements
The Reiki symbols and how to draw, activate and use them in a session
How to give a distance healing session, using an altar and one-to-one
Creating a healing mandala
Clearing a space with Reiki
Powering goals with Reiki
Treating food and water with Reiki
Techniques to calm emotional upset and clear mental blocks
Emotional sources of disease
Chakra cleansing and balancing
Scanning techniques to locate energy blockages, including Direct Connection and Triangulation
Practicing Reiki professionally e.g. clinic set up, insurance etc

To gain the Reiki 2 practitioner’s degree, students are required to complete:

Two Reiki sessions using Reiki 2 techniques
One distance Reiki healing session

The course takes place over two consecutive days or three evenings.
